More Ways to Cook
If you don't want to heat up your oven you can also prepare the english muffin pizzas any of these ways:
- Toaster oven: bake as directed, but keep a close eye as they might be done a little faster.
- Air fryer: reduce the cook time to about 4 minutes.
- Microwave: this method isn't recommended but in a pinch it will work. Heat for 1 minute, then in 30 second intervals until the cheese is melted.
Meal Prep and Storage Tips
Prepping everything you need to make an english muffin pizza in the oven is ideal so it's easy to throw together in minutes!
- Make the sauce and refrigerate until ready to use.
- Prepare any toppings.
- It is best to store them in separate Rubbermaid containers so they don't get soggy.
- Keep in the fridge.
- You can also freeze assembled english muffin pizzas!
- Follow the instructions but wait to bake.
- Arrange the pizzas in a single layer on a large plate or cookie sheet and freeze for 1-2 hours.
- Once solid, transfer the pizzas to a Rubbermaid container.
- Layer parchment paper between pizzas if you have more than one layer.
- Freeze for up to 3 months.
- Bake from frozen as directed, you may need to add a few minutes.
- Leftovers can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 3-5 days.
- Reheat in the oven or toaster oven to maintain the crispiness.
The Best Food Storage Containers
When preparing recipes in advance as well as keeping leftovers as fresh as possible, you want to make sure you have the best quality airtight containers. This is why I love Rubbermaid with the EasyFindLids System™ the most!
- My kitchen cabinets stay organized! The interchangeable lids snap together with the bases beautifully, and the containers nest.
- A must have: the BPA-free containers are top-rack dishwasher-safe because no one likes hand washing containers and lids every day.
- They're also freezer-safe for long term storage which means mini pizzas are a quick reheat away!
- Speaking of reheating, they're also microwave-safe!
